Who am I? I am Nicholas Rice. I am a Locksmith with many years experience in commercial and residential locks, both installation and maintenance. After many different jobs spanning various trades from fast food to manufacturing to education and transportation nothing felt right. Eventually I moved into a service field and I found that service is where I was meant to be. I found my self working as a laborer in a multi trade group, and as placed in the lock shop as ‘they didn’t know what to do with me’. Funny how that works in life sometimes. From that office I learned under 3 of the most caring and professional people I have ever work with. combined they had more than 50 years of lock and safe experience, and they were willing to share that knowledge with me, and teach me.

From their teachings I learned more on my own, growing into the beginnings of my own path, from learning basic master keying, to repairing electronic access control systems that have been obsolete since I was in kindergarten, back in 1990, that still work and control buildings. In 2016 I attended the GSA Technician training from MBA USA in Nicholasville, KY. In 2018 I moved from the desert of California to the Battle Creek, MI area where I now am.
